About mũciĩ
MUCII was created from a personal journey toward healing and living more intentionally.
Like many, I started paying closer attention to what we were bringing into our home — the fabrics touching our skin, the materials we slept in, the clothing we wore daily, and the products surrounding our family every day. The more I learned, the more I realized how disconnected many of us have become from the things we use most.
We live in a world driven by fast fashion, constant trends, influencer culture, and endless consumption. We’ve been taught to buy more, replace faster, and chase what’s new without ever stopping to ask:
What is this actually made of?
What is it doing to my body?
What is this level of consumption doing to the planet?
Many large companies prioritize speed, profit, and mass production over quality, longevity, and well-being. Cheap synthetic materials like polyester — essentially plastic-based fabrics — have become normal in our clothing, bedding, and homes because they’re inexpensive to produce and easy to market.
And most of us never questioned it.
We simply weren’t taught to.
We became so used to consuming that we stopped paying attention to what we were consuming.
What began as a personal shift inside my own home slowly became something I wanted to share with others.
MUCII is a thoughtfully curated lifestyle store centered around natural fabrics, honest materials, and intentional living. Every piece is chosen with the hope that it supports comfort, wellbeing, and a softer way of living — from clothing to home essentials.
This brand was never created just to sell products.
It was created for people who have “woken up” and no longer want to participate in overconsumption, low-quality materials, and being constantly pushed to buy more for instant gratification.
MUCII is for the people choosing to slow down.
The people learning that true luxury is found in quality, intentionality, and longevity.
The people realizing that delayed gratification is often worth more than constantly buying cheap, disposable things that don’t truly serve us.
It’s for people who still want beauty, warmth, style, and elevated living — but want it through products that feel more natural, thoughtful, and aligned with wellbeing.
As a 1st generation Kenyan-American woman, wife, and mother, representation also matters deeply to me. I wanted to create a brand where families that look like mine could feel a softer, more healing way of life — surrounded by warmth, peace, love, and intentional living.
The name “MUCII,” inspired by my tribes language Kikuyu word for “home,” reflects the heart behind everything we’re building:
home should feel safe, restorative, beautiful, and real.
This journey is not about perfection.
It’s about awareness.
Healing.
And becoming more intentional little by little.
I’m still learning.
Still growing.
Still choosing differently every day.
And I created MUCII so we can walk this journey together.
